BLACK SABBATH's IOMMI And BUTLER Guest On FUSE TV's 'Metal Asylum'
July 21, 2005BLACK SABBATH members Tony Iommi (guitar) and Geezer Butler (bass) stopped by the New York City studios of Fuse TV on Wednesday (July 20) to tape an appearance on "Metal Asylum". Check out pictures at this location.
According to a posting on the "Metal Asylum" blog, "Tony will be on Monday's [July 25] show and will be discussing amongst other things, his new solo album 'Fused' with Glenn Hughes from DEEP PURPLE singing, BLACK SABBATH touring, Ozzfest, the metal scene today, and he also talks about the tragic accident that turned out to spawn heavy metal.
"Geezer will be on Tuesday's [July 26] show and his nephew Pedro Howse, who also happens to be in GZR, talk about BLACK SABBATH, the new GZR album 'Ohmwork', Ozzfest, why he chose Clark Brown to sing instead of going with Burton from FEAR FACTORY and lots more.
"Both shows will also have very rare EXCLUSIVE BLACK SABBATH live clips that you won't see on any other TV show!
"In other news, we'll be at Ozzfest shooting at the FYE signing tent almost all day Saturday [July 23] in Pittsburgh, so please stop by and say hello. Maybe find your way on TV if you're lucky."
As previously reported, Iommi and Butler are said to be planning a joint North American tour this fall in support of their respective solo releases. The trek will take place after BLACK SABBATH finish headlining the 10th anniversary Ozzfest tour and will follow a run of SABBATH's post-Ozzfest U.S. headlining dates with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY as support.
